From the first picks of purple sprouting broccoli at the end of February our incredible team of employees will be out in the fields harvesting most days up until mid November when the Tenderstem® broccoli season finishes. A small team then stay on over the winter for our Kalette harvest.
Once harvested the produce is rapidly cooled in one of our high humidity coolers within 15 minutes of leaving the field. This significantly increases the shelf life of these products. Mixed squash is harvested into wooden crates and dried and cured in our dedicated squash store. This allows for long term storage of certain varieties.
